TouJours Apparel Care Guidelines:

TouJours Apparel is designed to transition you from your office to most social or activity events but once your hectic day is done the last thing you want to do is figure out how to care for your clothes.

We have created wash-care guidelines that will ensure you keep your TouJours Apparel looking and smelling good for an extended period of time.

TouJours Apparel Care Guidelines:

  • Go easy on the detergent, you might be tempted to double up on soap but that actually helps build up the stink in your clothes. We recommend using half the amount of detergent that you normally use when washing TouJours and other workout/knitwear apparel.
  • Do not use fabric softener, the softener will break down the wicking capabilities of your TouJours/other stretchy knit/workout wear.
  • How to avoid color fade, TouJours apparel like jeans and cotton sweaters can lose their color over time. We recommend you flipping your TouJours apparel inside out will help to keep the truer color longer. Next, be sure to wash in cold water, include a 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1 cup of baking soda with your wash. The white vinegar has been known to help keep the color longer and get any residual smell out.
  • If you have time, avoid using the dryer after the wash cycle. Most knitwear that has a fabric with stretch properties/content (such as spandex, lycra, nylon) should be hung dry – heat can actually break down these fibers and reduce the stretchiness of the fabric. If you do not have the time to hang dry these items, you can use the dyer (but do not do this all the time) and keep the heat on a low to medium level and only in for 20 minutes’ maximum.
  • After use, especially if you were sweating &/or in a workout environment wash immediately.
